1. Agreement

By using 500k.io, you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the site. We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged at the top of this page and emailed to subscribers.

2. The service

500k.io provides editorial content, a skills bank, lead magnets, a newsletter, and (eventually) paid courses. Most content is free. Paid products (course, sponsorships) are governed by their own checkout terms displayed at purchase.

3. Acceptable use

  • Don't scrape the entire site for republication. Excerpts with attribution + canonical link are welcome.
  • Don't attempt to break our infrastructure (rate limits, SQL injection, brute force, etc.).
  • Don't impersonate us or our authors.
  • Don't use 500k.io content to train commercial AI models without a license. (LLM training crawlers from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity et al. are explicitly allowed via robots.txt; this carve-out is for re-publishing platforms.)

4. Affiliate disclosure

Some links on 500k.io are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we actually use. Affiliate links are labeled in disclosure blocks within each article and on /disclosure.

5. Editorial independence

Sponsorships are clearly labeled. Sponsors do not get to edit, veto, or shape editorial content. If a sponsored placement compromises that, we end the deal.

6. User-generated content

If you submit a comment, contact form message, or sponsorship inquiry, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that submission for the purpose of responding and (with attribution) publishing testimonials. We won't make your private email public without permission.

7. Intellectual property

Editorial content (articles, lead magnets, course materials) is © Maxime Le Morillon, all rights reserved, except where individual articles bear an explicit Creative Commons notice. Code published in our public GitHub repos is licensed per its own LICENSE file (MIT by default). The "500k.io" wordmark and visual identity are our trademarks; trademark filing is in progress.

8. Skills bank

The skills bank indexes third-party content (Anthropic skills, community skills, MCP servers). Each skill page links to its source and respects its upstream license. We do not relicense.

9. Course (when launched)

  • Refund window: 14 days from cohort start, no questions asked.
  • Access duration: lifetime, including future updates.
  • License: personal use; sharing seats is not permitted.

10. Disclaimers

500k.io provides information and recommendations. Nothing here is legal, financial, tax, or medical advice. We make no guarantee that following our playbook will produce $500K ARR or any specific result. Past results don't predict future ones.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 500k.io and Maxime Le Morillon are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (which, for the free site, is $0).

12. Governing law

For users in the EU/EEA: French law applies, courts of Paris have jurisdiction (subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence). For users elsewhere: laws of the State of Delaware (USA), USA, exclusive jurisdiction in Delaware courts.
